Important Information You Need To Know

When you find out a loved one has been arrested, you will need to provide our agents with the following information. We will need to know the defendant's full name, address, date of birth, possible charges, and where they were arrested. Once they have been located, you will be required to fill out a bail bond application and pay the 10% premium.

Santa Monica bail bonds for most offenses are set according to a pre-determined bail bonds schedule. Felonies that involve violent crimes or if a it is determined that the defendant may harm themselves or others, the judge may deny bail and keep the defendant in custody. If bail is offered, the defendant will be released after it has been posted and the defendant has been informed of their court date and responsibilities.

It is imperative that the defendant appears at any and all scheduled court hearings. If they fail to appear, the entire bond amount will be due to the court and any collateral put up by the co-signer will be forfeited. If it was a surety bond, the co-signer will be responsible for any amount of the bond that is still owed.

If the defendant appears in court and the case is eventually closed, the Santa Monica bail bond will be released and the co-signer will have any money left after fees and restitution returned to them. It is important to remember that all premiums are non-refundable and non-negotiable.
